Slough had to win today, and win we did! It wasn't a great
performance, but we did what we had to do and took all three points.

It was clear from the start that
Slough were going to win, it was just a matter of how many goals we

then began to look more comfortable despite some dangerous breaks
from Tooting & Mitcham. From then on it was end to end stuff.
Tooting & Mitcham forced Alan Foster into some comfortable saves
but Slough then took the lead on 26 minutes when Steve Daly

The second half began, both
sides picked up where they left off in the first half, only this
time neither team looked like scoring. There were some half chances
for both teams and then we were all wondering weather or not Ian
Hodges would get that birthday hat-trick we were all predicting. He
did score though, Alex Haddow won the ball down the left flank, ran
with it, passed it to the oncoming Ian Hodges who fired the ball
into the corner of the net.
From that point
onwards Slough were just waiting for the game to finish. Three
points were guaranteed. Slough now lye in 14th place with 16 points
from 10 games.
