Rebels lost even more ground in the race for the a top six finish
after this defeat at 13th placed Walton & Hersham. But their was
a familiar face on the pitch today, Ryan Williams (left) has returned
to the club after being released from Boreham Wood and he made his
Slough return in midfield on this miserable night.
This poor performance left Slough fans fuming at the end of 90
minutes. No goals in the first half summed up the half.
The highlights of the second-half were whenever the referee gave
any sort of decision. The referee was pathetic.
Walton's first goal began with a two-footed slid tackle from
behind on one of Slough's defenders. The referee (in his infinite
wisdom) waved play on. Walton ran with the ball and hit it into the
net for 1-0. With all due respect to Walton, it was a good finish
but the goal should never had stood.
The other two Walton goals weren't much different, Slough fall
asleep, Walton run, Walton score.
Matt Miller did however manage to score in the 90th minute.
Adrian Browne, having come on as a substitute, headed the ball high
onto the crossbar from a cross from the left and Matt Miller ran
onto it and headed home from close range.
