Rebels picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday night
when they entertained Harrow Borough at Stag Meadow.
only the one change to the team that lost at Dover on Saturday, Matt
Seedel replacing the injured Matt Miller (left).
Slough had the better share of possession as usual, with Matt
Seedel going close on a couple of occasions with headers.
the Rebels pressurising the Harrow goal, they were caught on the
break once or twice but 'keeper Jake Whincup prevented any chance of
a Harrow goal.
Whincup only had to make one decent save during the first-half. A
Harrow free-kick from the edge of the area was curled around the
wall and was heading for the bottom corner, but Whincup dived and
tipped it round the post.
Slough did take a deserved lead on 37 minutes when a Harrow
defender brought down Veli Hakki in the area and last season's top
goalscorer Ian Hodges (above right) converted the penalty, sending
the 'keeper the wrong way from the spot.

Slough picked up from where they left off at the end of the
first-half and it took only 8 minutes for them to get a second goal.
A Slough corner created into a goalmouth scramble, Slough having
their first 2 shots blocked on the line by the Harrow defence but
defender Michael Murphy slammed home from close range with the third
Even though they were 2 goals down, Harrow still failed to test
Jake Whincup in the Slough goal, the Rebels defence dealt with
everything that Harrow had to offer and the game cruised out into an
easy win in the end.
