The Report
The Rebels picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday night when they entertained Harrow Borough at Stag Meadow.

Their was only the one change to the team that lost at Dover on Saturday, Matt Seedel replacing the injured Matt Miller (left).

Slough had the better share of possession as usual, with Matt Seedel going close on a couple of occasions with headers.

With the Rebels pressurising the Harrow goal, they were caught on the break once or twice but 'keeper Jake Whincup prevented any chance of a Harrow goal.

Whincup only had to make one decent save during the first-half. A Harrow free-kick from the edge of the area was curled around the wall and was heading for the bottom corner, but Whincup dived and tipped it round the post.

Slough did take a deserved lead on 37 minutes when a Harrow defender brought down Veli Hakki in the area and last season's top goalscorer Ian Hodges (above right) converted the penalty, sending the 'keeper the wrong way from the spot.

Half-Time score: Slough Town 1-0 Harrow Borough

Slough picked up from where they left off at the end of the first-half and it took only 8 minutes for them to get a second goal.

A Slough corner created into a goalmouth scramble, Slough having their first 2 shots blocked on the line by the Harrow defence but defender Michael Murphy slammed home from close range with the third shot.

Even though they were 2 goals down, Harrow still failed to test Jake Whincup in the Slough goal, the Rebels defence dealt with everything that Harrow had to offer and the game cruised out into an easy win in the end.
