The Rebels booked their place in Monday's 4th qualifying round draw
with a comfortable win over Cheshunt at Stag Meadow. Four goals in
the last half hour sent Slough on their way to a potential money
spinning tie against one of the bigger non-league sides.
first-half was pretty dull, with neither side keeping up a
consistent spell of pressure. The Rebels best chance of the half was
probably a Alex Haddow shot that just skimmed the outside post.

With 15 minutes of the second-half gone Slough really got going
and Alex Haddow put us in front when he connected with a Josias
Carbon cross and when the ball was seemingly bouncing wide, it
ricocheted off the post and into the net.
This seemed to inspire
Cheshunt who responded by stretching the Rebels defence to their
limits, but they couldn't find a way past the ever reliable Jake
It wasn't long before Ryan Spencer doubled out lead when
he was put through by Glen Harris for him to turn and shoot past the
Josias Carbon made the win safe in injury time when
substitute Veli Hakki found him unmarked in the area. Carbon made no
mistake in calmly slotting the ball home.
But it wasn't over yet.
Matt Seedel beat his man down the right and slammed the ball
underneath the 'keeper.
The draw for the 4th and final qualifying
round of the FA Cup will be made at 11:00 am tomorrow morning and
