Slough Town made light work of Ryman 1st Division Dorking as they
inflicted their second 7-0 defeat in as many games. The Rebels ran
rampant as no fewer than six different scorers wrote their names on
It was clear that the team were using this game as a warm-up for
Saturday's big game against Walsall. The winning goal came after Glen
Harris headed past the goalkeeper following a cross.
Slough doubled their advantage through Ryan Spencer when he
volleyed the ball into the net from Matt Seedel's header.
The match was over as Matt Murphy scored from the spot after only
Steve Daly made it four when he spun a shot round the goalkeeper
and into the far corner.
Despite a four-goal deficit at half-time, Dorking kept on trying
but to no anvil.
Josias Carbon slammed the ball into the roof of the net when Ian
Hodges crossed the ball in, but that was before Dorking finally
tested Jake Whincup in the Slough goal. James Saulsbury handled the
ball inside the area, but Jake Whincup saved the spot kick.
Carbon got his second of the game in similar fashion in which he
got his first. Ian Hodges crossed the ball in and Carbon was on hand
to put the ball in the net.
Matt Seedel got the goal he deserved when he pounced on a through
ball and sent the ball past the 'keeper.
