Town survived a brave Hendon fight back to reach the fourth round of
the FA Trophy.
The Rebels took the lead after only four
minutes when Glen Harris (pictured left) ran into the box and
fired a low shot into the far corner.
Hodges doubled Slough's lead after 17 minutes when Matt Murphy's
penalty was saved by the Hendon 'keeper and Hodges pounced on the
ball and sent it into the net.
Hendon got themselves back into the game when substitute Danny
Julienne made an immediate impact on the game, setting up Dave Sargeant to send the ball round Michael Parkin and into the net.
restored their two-goal advantage when Ian Hodges (pictured right)
met a Josias Carbon cross to score.
Ross Pickett scored Hendon's second of the game when he scored
via an overhead kick following a long ball into the Rebels penalty
Slough restored their two goal lead, this time it was Ryan Spencer
(pictured left) on the end of a cross from Alex Haddow.
Hendon gave themselves a glimmer of hope when Frendo added a
third for the Greens, but it was too little too late and Slough came
out 4-3 winners.
