The Rebels lost their first home game in nine months when they fell
to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Eastleigh.
In a poor
first half performance, Andy Forbes gave Eastleigh the lead, firing
the ball past young goalkeeper Michael Parkin.
It was Andy Forbes again who doubled their advantage. Two minutes
from half-time, Sam Wyeth's searching pass found Forbes who
controlled the ball and slotted it underneath Parkin.
Matt Murphy pulled on back for the hosts barely a minute later
from the penalty spot. Michael Murphy (no relation) was fouled in
the box, and Matt stepped up and sent the 'keeper the wrong way.
The visitors restored their two goal lead when David Hughes found
the back of the net.
Martin Thomas took the ball round Michael Parkin for 4-1 to
complete a miserable night for the Rebels and in particular, Michael
Parkin, playing his first competitive game in a Slough shirt.
