The Report
Slough lost their first home league game since September when they stumbled at home to Leyton by two goals to one.

The Rebels started the brighter and it almost paid off early, Steve Daly's cross found Matt Murphy (pictured left) who passed the ball to Christian Metcalfe (pictured below right), but his shot went wide of the target.

Soon afterwards, the Rebels had a chance to open the scoring when Ryan Spencer was fouled just outside the box. Alex Haddow's free-kick was deflected straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.

Just under ten minutes later, Ian Hodges (pictured below left) headed a Michael Murphy cross against the post, but the ball bounced out of play for a goal kick.

Ten minutes later, Alex Haddow was fouled in a similar position to which Ryan Spencer wad fouled earlier on. Michael Murphy's free kick was well blocked by a defender.

Slough had yet another chance to open the scoring, but Ryan Spencer's shot was tipped over the bar with half an hour gone.

With about three minutes to go until half-time, Matt Murphy was put through on goal down the right wing, but his shot went wide of the near post .

Things didn't get any better for the Rebels though, and just before half time, Ian Hodges was unfairly booked for a tackle on Des Thomas.

Slough could have gone into half time one goal up, but Matt Murphy's shot was very well saved by the 'keeper after he cleared the ball straight to him.

2nd half

The Rebels were made to regret their missed first half chances, because four minutes after the restart, the hosts found themselves a goal down. Manny Williams slotted the ball into the net from inside the area for a very soft goal.

Slough started the second half poorly. Eddie Denton (pictured left) tried to change things around by bringing on Veli Hakki and Matt Seedel for Ian Hodges and Glen Harris (pictured below right).

Matt Seedel didn't have to wait long to make an impact on the game. Less than a minute after he had come on, he slotted the ball in off the post into the left hand corner for the equaliser.

The only other noteworthy event during the remainder of the match was Leyton's winner. Rebels goalkeeper Shaun Allaway gave the ball away to Bradshaw, whose shot took a deflection of defender James Saulsbury flew into the roof of the net.
