The Report
Last year Slough were perhaps a bit lucky to beat underdogs Croydon Athletic in the early stages of the FA Cup. No such luck this year as Athletic deservedly dumped Slough out of the Trophy.

Scoreless at half time, the match started to have the feel of a 0-0 draw about it until 2 goals from Athletics' Joe Sheerin put the game beyond Slough 10 minutes into the second half. At last Slough started to play and Hodges soon pulled one back from a Seedel cross. Slough were denied an undeserved equaliser with a superb save from a scorcher from Slough's man of the match, Carbon.

Athletic made it safe with a third goal with 10 minutes left. At least we avoided a replay.
