Slough threw away a two-goal lead to gift Bromley a point at Stag
Meadow on Saturday.
In an even 1st half with the Bromley defence
snuffing out most of the threat posed by Ian Hodges and debutant
Charlie Ide, the home side broke the deadlock when shots from Hodges
and Carbon were blocked, with the rebound from the second falling
kindly for Ian Hodges to fire home.
The second half started well for Slough when Ian Hodges was
judged to have been fouled inside the area. It was right on the line
and could have gone either way, but Hodges stepped up and calmly
slotted the ball into the corner and Slough were on their way to all
But that's as good as it got for Slough. From then on Bromley
controlled the game. Poor defending gifted Bromley's Wood space
