The Report

Beaconsfield SYCOB held Slough to a dull 1-1 draw at Holloways Park on Monday evening.

Slough had hardly threatened the SYCOB goal when the home side took the lead with 10 minutes gone. Daniel Boateng converted a spot kick after Marc Leach had handled inside the area.

With around 20 minutes on the clock, SYCOB defender Nick Leach scored a spectacular own goal when he headed in Leon Woodruffe's (pictured right) cross.

Slough could have taken the lead on the half hour mark when Steve Daly's (pictured left) header hit the post following Matt Glyn's corner.

Slough had the ball in the back of the net again with around 10 minutes of the first half remaining, but Adam Wallace's goal was ruled out for pushing in the area.

Matt Glyn almost gave Slough the lead barely minutes later, but his corner drifted just wide of the far post.

The second half was a relatively dull affair, with several substitutions by both sides meaning that the game lost what little shape it had.

Trialist Anaclett Odaiambo wasted several chances for Slough and with Beaconsfield failing to capitalise on Slough's poor defending, neither side really looked like scoring from then on.
