SYCOB held Slough to a dull 1-1 draw at Holloways Park on Monday
had hardly threatened the SYCOB goal when the home side took the
lead with 10 minutes gone. Daniel Boateng converted a spot kick
after Marc Leach had handled inside the area.
around 20 minutes on the clock, SYCOB defender Nick Leach scored a
spectacular own goal when he headed in Leon Woodruffe's (pictured
could have taken the lead on the half hour mark when Steve Daly's
(pictured left) header hit the post following Matt Glyn's corner.
Slough had the ball in the back of the
net again with around 10 minutes of the first half remaining, but
Adam Wallace's goal was ruled out for pushing in the area.
Matt Glyn almost gave Slough the lead
barely minutes later, but his corner drifted just wide of the far
half was a relatively dull affair, with several substitutions by
both sides meaning that the game lost what little shape it had.
Trialist Anaclett Odaiambo wasted
several chances for Slough and with Beaconsfield failing to
capitalise on Slough's poor defending, neither side really looked
like scoring from then on.
