The Report
An entertaining game in which Slough held there own against highly placed Tonbridge Angels, and were unlucky to come away without at least a point. The game started badly for Slough when in the 3rd minute Sloughs defence was torn apart and Kinch volleyed across the goal to score. Slough's response was to have a spell of good possession, but this didn't lead to any clear chances.

Slough did equalise though after good work by Jarvis in the Tonbridge goalmouth saw his shot blocked allowing Wallace to slot home the loose ball.

Slough came close with 2 more efforts, Wallace clipping the top of the crossbar, and a centre that eluded everyone and just bounced past the far post when it looked like bouncing in. McCleary was having his best game of the season and Slough looked dangerous in most of their attacks.

Drake was called on to make some good saves in the second half, one early on. It was Slough who took the lead with only 16 minutes remaining when Alexis's shot could only be deflected by the Tonbridge keeper.

It wasn't long before the Angels equalised through sub O'Neil who put home a rebounded save. The rest was predictable, Slough lost their shape, stood still appealing for a foul, Tonbridge counter attacked and scored leaving Slough looking distinctly pedestrian.

So much good work wasted, but if the performance can be repeated regularly the wins will start to come.
