A skeleton Slough side were beaten by
old rivals Aylesbury United in the "massive" cup at Stag Meadow
on Wednesday night.
game played out in true Slough Town style as they had slightly
more possession, but the visitors had the better chances.
The opening 10 minutes belonged
to the visitors, with missed chances from Kevin Mealor and Enzo
Silvestri meaning that the score stayed 0-0.
Davies missed Sloughs opening chance of the match as he narrowly
missed the near post after good build-up play between him and
Mark Bartley (pictured left).
It was Bartley who missed Sloughs
next chance, but he was unlucky to see his shot fly narrowly
wide of the far post.
Around 10 minutes before the
break, Richard Pringle opened the scoring as he powerfully
headed Kevin Mealor's cross past Kieron Drake from an offside position
and against the
run of play.
