equaliser cost the Rebels precious points as Slough go 8 games
a rather dull first half with both sides cancelling each other out
with the visitors always looked
more likely to score, it was the Rebels who broke the deadlock after
an hours play. The 'keeper fumbled Lee Riddell's (pictured right)
cross under pressure from Yashwa Romeo, who duly pounced on the
loose ball to send the Rebels 1 up.
From then on, the Rebels looked content
to sit back on this narrow lead, and Jamie Jackson was called into
action on several occasions to bail out a suspect Slough defence,
who were still missing Steve Daly and Luke Evans at the back.
after Eamonn McConigley was substituted for Tom Attrell (pictured
left) going into injury time with the Rebels severely on the back
foot, the inevitable happened and Mike Davies converted Keith
Knight's through ball, firing into the bottom right corner with no
Slough defender in sight.
It was the least Bishops Cleeve deserved
as it could have been more for the visitors. In the end Slough came
away from this game extremely lucky not to have lost, as yet again
the Rebels failure to put the game to bed nearly cost us dearly.
