The Rebels held
league leaders AFC Totton to a credible draw in the fog at Holloways
Park on Tuesday night to extend our unbeaten run to six games.
In a game of few
chances, it was the visitors who applied the early pressure without
ever really threatening Jamie Jackson, with a cross skimming the
crossbar being the closest they came to a goal.
was the Rebels however who mustered the first clear-cut chance of
the evening, but Danny Jordan hit
his shot straight at the goalkeeper. Jamie Jackson saved from
Nathaniel Sherbourne for the visitors, whilst Byron Bubb (pictured
right) also hit straight at the ‘keeper. James Pritchard came close
from 20 yards before further chances came and went for Yashwa Romeo
for Slough and Mike Gosney for Totton before the half-time whistle.
It took 10 minutes
after the break for Totton to manage their first real threat to
Jamie Jackson’s goal, with Jackson saving from Warner’s header, but
overall the Rebels had slightly the better of the second period, and
Byron Bubb had blasted wide of the far post.
chances in a dull match uneventful fell for Danny Jordan, who saw
his 20 yard effort sail harmlessly wide of the goal, and James
Pritchard who saw his shot blocked. The Rebels certainly had enough
chances to have come from this game with all three points, but this
