The Report
A dreadful second-half display from the Rebels meant that Slough handed Thatcham all three points on a plate.

It had all started so well however, with the Rebels playing skillful football and creating time and space. James Pritchard (pictured right) saw his shot hit the side-netting and Yashwa Romeo forced a good save from Mapson before Matthew Platt smashed home from 30 yards after being set up by Ryan Fenton.

It wasn't all Slough possession and dominance however, as Dave Asker forced a brilliant save from Jamie Jackson from inside the penalty area to deny the home side from their best chance of the opening half.

Danny Jordan (pictured left) saw his goal-bound shot hooked off the line minutes before he blasted the ball high and wide from a good position as Slough went into the half-time break well on top.

However, that was it as far as Slough attacking threat was concerned as throughout the entire second half, Slough never looked like scoring. Slough were a completely different team after half-time, and it took a little over 10 minutes for Ashley Vine to capitalise on poor defending and head past Jamie Jackson into the bottom left corner.

From then on the match was never in doubt, and Ben McCready volleyed Johnson's cross for 2-1 five minutes later, after Stow had missed 2 chances for the hosts.

Handbags between Yashwa Romeo (pictured right) and Paul Taplin after the latter had appeared to headbutt Romeo earned both players yellow cards, and with a little under 10 minutes remaining the Slough defence let Jemel Johnson run through to slot past Jackson to complete the comeback and conclude what was one of the worst performances of the season from the Rebels.
