A point suited both sides as our
landlords secured their play-off berth whilst the Rebels all but
secured their safety. The best
chances during the first half came for Robbie Kean, who forced Nick
Hart into a save from 20 yards, and from Byron Bubb, whose long
range free-kick did little to trouble the goalkeeper.
The hosts had their chances with
former Rebel Steve Dell producing long range throw-ins into Jamie
Jacksons box, but there were no real clear-cut chances until, the
second half with the league's top goalscorer and cousin of Byron,
Bradley Bubb for Beaconsfield SYCOB causing the Slough defence all
sorts of problems.
Jamie Jackson saved a one-on-one with
Stuart Swift, and Matthew Platt was denied by Nick Hart at the near
post, but in the end there were to be no goals, despite Craig
O'Connors disallowed goal a couple of minutes from the end. |
