A lacklustre Slough performance meant
that 2 Jack King penalties condemned us to another away defeat,
although in the end the result didn't matter.
Jack King put away his first penalty
after 23 minutes after loanee Graeme Edwards bought down Philip John
inside the penalty area.
The ineffective front-line of Danny
Jordan and Matthew Platt meant that Slough's
best chance of the first half came to Byron Bubb from 30 yards,
whose effort caused the goalkeeper no trouble. Jack King failed to
connect to Philip Johns through-ball as the home side threatened to
run away with the game.
Didcot
almost doubled their lead when ex-Rebel Neville Roach won a
free-kick on the edge of the box for Philip John to hit the
crossbar.
The Rebels just weren't in it for
almost the entire game and the best we could muster was a long-range
Chris Fermie (pictured right) effort, again causing the 'keeper no
trouble.
Tom Attrell cleared Andy Williams
header off the line before the home side actually did double their
lead. Dean Harper was penalised for pulling the shirt of ex-Rebel
Michael Bartley as he was clear on goal, for Jack King to dispatch
the resultant penalty. |
