Slough put their 6-0 drumming at
Bridgwater a month previously behind them, as goals from Yashwa Romeo and Robbie Kean
means that the Rebel end their season on the back of 2 successive
victories.
Yashwa Romeo
(pictured left) netted
Slough's goal of the season after only 5 minutes when he lobbed the
goalkeeper from 30 yards out to send the ball spinning into the
bottom right corner of the net.
Romeo could have doubled his tally and
Slough's lead minutes later ash e capitalised on a poor-free kick,
but he shot straight at the goalkeeper.
Brett Trowbridge's effort deflected off
a defender and hit the crossbar as the visitors looked to get back
into the game. Chris Young then rounded Jamie Jackson following a
poor back-pass, but sent his shot wide of the target.
Dan Forward headed Ryan King's cross to
force Jamie Jackson into a save on 70 minutes, but Jackson fumbled
and Mike Taylor capitalised on the loose ball to equalise.
But
after 5 minutes, the Rebels were back in front as Robbie Kean
(pictured right) found the net on
a rebound from Yashwa Romeo's saved effort.
The game petered out into a second
successive victory for the Rebels to end the season on a high;
typical now that we seem to have found the winning formula. |
